Can breathing mineral makeup powders be harmful?
My sister works in a store that custom blends mineral makeup powders. She has started developing headaches and just feeling lousy. Are there any indications that breathing the minerals could cause this?
She should be wearing a mask. Yes it is harmful to inhale these when grinding them, especially very harmful if they are MICRO PARTICLES which are dangerous to your health and have links to respiratory cancers. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are not good to inhale. Make sure she wears a very good mask. The headaches are probably not a side effect but if she was coughing alot and her eyes burn or are irritated etc….
