Pruittville's Epoch Legacy
DOB: 04/16/2009
Thank you to Tim Pruitt of Pruittville Nubians for the opportunity to own this very correct young buck. He is incredibly wide and level from thurl to thurl, level across the topline, and wide overall. His dam's udder is simply incredible, with an amazing foreudder. We are very excited to see daughters from this young guy.

Aja-Sammati Cayo Espanto
DOB: 06/26/2009
Babe disappointed us with twin bucks in 2009, but they were very nice bucks. After much deliberation, and some help in picking between the two (provided by Claire Pella, Patriot's owner), we decided to retain Espanto to use on many of our first fresheners. Espanto is long bodied, has excellent head, feet & legs, is very high and wide into the escutcheon, has gorgeous rear leg set, and Patriot's strength blended well with Babe's dairyness. Our other Babe son, Pita Maha, improved udders over the dams on all three freshened daughters in 2009, especially foreudders, and we expect even better udders from a son out of this cross.

Aja-Sammati Fazal Din
DOB: 06/10/2009
Fazal, also known as Scott, is the last son of Lonesome-Doe Dawn Treader (Skippy). After losing Skippy unexpectedly, we were ready to consider keeping a son, especially with the success of Skippy daughters and granddaughters. Wynne has an excellent udder- high, tight & productive, and this total outcross breeding produced a pair of large, wide and correct fast growing kids. Scott has been used on a handful of does this year, and we expect him to be useful in further combining the genetics we are using.

I can never thank Sandy Riehle enough for offering us the possibility of leasing Press for the 2009/2010 breeding season. His daughters are exceptional and appraise quite well. These are bloodlines you can't go wrong using.

Reuel Zina's EXP Tyco *B
DOB: 01/23/2008 When Ben saw a picture of this guy...well, he was persistent in saying we should get him! Since he is Zach's paternal 1/2 brother and maternal uncle, we call him Zach's 'bruncle'. We love Sandy's 'Z' line, especially the queen, Zina. We feel very priviledged to own one of her kids. Tyco's kids are wide and longer bodied than their dams, with very nice heads. His daughter Temperance was our highest appraising young stock in 2009- Ec overall. Reuel Zephyr's EXP Zachariah *B
DOB: 3/31/2007
Linear Appraisal:
Zach's daughters are strong, with improvement in feet and legs over their dams and no loss of dairyness. They are sharp into the withers, with clean legs. The few that we have shown consistently place at the top of their classes. We are excited to be freshening more daughters in 2010, some of our favorites in fact, that were dry yearlings. We can't wait to see more daughters in milk!

Aja-Sammati Pita Maha
DOB: 3/12/2007
Linear Appraisal:
Pita is a bit of a slow maturer like his dam, but he is passing on great things to his daughters. His daughters consistently have wider, flatter rumps and a more correct rear leg angle than their dams, longer more stylish necks, and more area of udder attachment and lots of improvement in the foreudder. We only saw three of four daughters freshen in 2009, but they were all keeper quality- Aja-Sammati Callisto appraised 01-06 VEE+ 86. We have used him on more does this year, especially to add sharpness, length of body or neck, width or flatness in the rump, or more correct rear leg angle.

Kastdemur's Patriot
Patriot is the sire of the 3rd Place 2 year-old milker at the 2009 National Show, Pella's Triple C Yahtzee. He is a wide, long boy, passing on style, strength, and correctness to his daughters and sons. His littermate sister, SGCH Kastdemur's FS Santa Cruz 10*M has appraised 92 EEEE and has been on the Top Ten list in all three categories. We have bred him to four does this year, and expect great results!

Pella's Triple C Be Awesome
Awesome is a very exciting mix of Kastdemur's, Lassenwood and Wingwood bloodlines. He is a long, handsome boy, with very nice dairy character and correct feet and legs. His littermate sister received her dry leg at her first show as an 8 week old kid- against very tough competition! His maternal 1/2 sister, Yahtzee, was the 3rd Place 2 year-old milker at the 2009 National Show. We think this combination with our herd is going to be a beautiful thing- Shiyloh justs needs to help it along with some does!
